Ustekinumab Drug Level ELISA (IDKmonitor®)

INFORMATION

Determination of free therapeutic ustekinumab

Ustekinumab is a recombinant protein used to treat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The IDKmonitor Ustekinumab Drug Level ELISA kit is a microplate-based quantitative enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the determination of free ustekinumab in plasma or serum samples. Not all patients respond equally to ustekinumab, and this test helps to stratify patients according to whether they are likely to benefit from treatment or not, allowing clinicians to evaluate the drug efficacy and investigate primary non-response, loss of response and non-remission.

KEY ADVANTAGES

  • Highly specific quantification of ustekinumab, with no cross reaction with compounds of a similar structure

  • Total incubation time 130 minutes

  • Saves costs by predicting efficacy of ustekinumab treatment and stratifying patients accordingly

  • Applicable to both gastroenterology and rheumatology

  • Reportable range 0.29-60 ug/ml

  • Automatable on ELISA automates (e.g. Dynex DS2)
