Ideal tools for colorectal cancer screening
ColonView lateral flow quick test is a new generation faecal immunochemical test (FIT) intended for the rapid detection of faecal occult blood (FOB) in stool samples.
The test is based on highly sensitive immunochemical detection of human hemoglobin and human hemoglobin/haptoglobin complexes. The principal use of the BIOHIT ColonView Hb and Hb/Hp test is to screen for lower gastrointestinal (GI) organic pathologies, such as colorectal cancers and large adenomas that bleed. By combining the two biomarkers, the ColonView quick test detects both proximal and distal bleeds.
ColonView Quick Test
The ColonView Quick Test comes in packs of 30 tests, each including a test cassette and well-equipped Sample Collection Kits that are given to the patient for home sample collection. Each collection kit includes a single Sample Collection Tube, instructions for use and a handy Stool Collection Paper.
Each test cassette contains two test strips – one for Human Hb and one for Human Hb/Hp Complex. The same sample can be used for both Hb and Hb/Hp testing.
ColonView Hb and Hb/Hp tests are simple, one-step lateral flow tests that give results in just 15 minutes.
Quick test Reader
As an option, the ColonView Quick Test result can be confirmed with the help of the BIOHIT Quick test reader. The BIOHIT Quick Test Reader eliminates the need for user interpretation of the results and enables the transmission of test results to a linked Laboratory Information System where required.
