Golimumab Free Anti-drug ELISA (IDKmonitor®)

INFORMATION

Determination of free anti-golimumab antibodies

Golimumab is a recombinant protein used to treat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This protein can induce humoral immune responses and lead to anti-drug antibody formation, which is a major cause of loss of drug response. The IDKmonitor Golimumab Free Anti-drug ELISA kit is a microplate-based quantitative sandwich ELISA for the determination of free anti-golimumab antibodies from plasma or serum samples. Detecting high levels of free anti-golimumab antibodies in patients when the drug level is low (undetectable or sub-therapeutic) may indicate poorer long-term outcomes and suggest the need to switch treatment.

KEY ADVANTAGES

  • Supports the investigation of primary non-response and loss of response to golimumab

  • Highly sensitive assay that only detects free anti-golimumab antibodies

  • Total assay time 130 minutes

  • May help predict long term outcome of disease

  • Applicable to both gastroenterology and rheumatology

  • Automatable on ELISA automates (e.g. Dynex DS2)
