QuantOn Cal Smart-test for IBD

SKU: KST1002GP Category:

QuantOn Cal® is a test system for the quantitative determination of calprotectin in faeces. The test system is an in-vitro diagnostic device (IVD) intended for self-testing and individual monitoring of treatment efficacy for patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

QuantOn Cal® consists of a rapid test that detects human calprotectin via gold-conjugated anti-calprotectin antibodies, and a smartphone app that analyses the result of the rapid test quantitatively based on the colour intensity of the control and test lines. Results are automatically sent to the patient’s doctor and logged in the Doctor’s Online Portal.

How QuantOn Cal works

1.  Access the Online Portal and Register as a “Competence Centre” for free at www.quantocal.com

IBD teams can set up their own “Competence Centre” within the portal which forms the central point for user and patient management, data collection and results viewing. “Competence Centre” is the name we give to the expert-led team that manages the service and when you sign up your Competence Centre is given a unique Competence Centre Code. Every result from every patient enrolled in the QuantOn Cal program is accessible via the Portal.

2. Enrol / register patients

To participate in the QuantOn Cal program, patients need to be enrolled which means connecting them to your competence centre via the QuantOn Cal App. This is easily done by entering the patient’s unique patient identification number (PID) or barcode into the portal and generating a patient enrolment form. The enrolment form contains both the unique “Competence Centre” code and their PID code in barcode form, so that when the patient scans the two codes together using their QuantOn Cal App, the patient becomes registered to your specific Competence Centre and is identifiable only by their unique PID.

3. Monitor your patients

Once a patient is enrolled in the QuantOn Cal program, every result generated by the patient performing the test will automatically be dispatched from their smartphone to your competence centre. The results are available for viewing in the following ways:

  • The latest result is sent immediately by email to your registered address

  • You can view the result of the curren and previous test results for that patient in the portal as a list or graph.
